Craptactular Superwhite Bulbs

Stock 55w - Superwhite 100w

After running the stock bulbs for awhile I decided to try some other options in the quest for better light.  First try was some "Superwhite" bulbs.....which were total crap.  I put them in the bike and they sure looked bright when I looked at the headlight, but that was just my eye reacting to glare.  Got out for a ride at dusk and could only make it about 1/4mi before I had to turn around. On low beams the headlights were barely visible, on highs I could see them a little better but still not good. I thought since I had the front end apart that day I may have had the aim wrong on the headlight so I headed back and looked over everything.  While I was at it I put 1 stock 55w back in and rolled the bike out to the street.  Right away I could see 1 strong beam on the ground, and the 1 dim beam from the "superwhite".  Looks brighter in the picture eh?  That's the only place it was brighter.  Avoid the crap superwhite bulbs.

So after the goof up with the crap ricer bulbs above, I picked up a set of these.  Pretty pricy at about $20 a bulb but worth it if you are serious about being able to see stuff at night.  They don't look much different in the picture than the stock bulb, but on the road it's pretty dramatic.  You can clearly see further with the bulbs like advertised.  If you follow the link above, make sure you send then an E-mail asking if it's possible to only buy 3 bulbs, since they come in a pack of 2.  These bulbs get a big thumbs up by me.
